We’re honored to spotlight one of our amazing Partner Agencies this week: Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry. With support from one of our capacity building grants, they have been able to implement numerous changes to their “small but mighty” organization, which have resulted in many positive outcomes.

The quiet time away from work, an opportunity to learn something new, and the tangible experience of sowing and harvesting vegetables are some of Alex’s favorite things about volunteering in the garden. We are grateful to Alex for giving back each week in the garden in support of our mission to fight hunger!

With a heart for giving back, Debra, a retired teacher, continues to find ways to stay active in her community and connect with her neighbors by volunteering regularly in the kitchen. Thank you for your dedication to fighting hunger, Debra!
