Food Bank Closures

Please refer to the 2020 Holiday Guide for closure dates for the Central Texas Food Bank. Ordering guidelines for closures will be posted and sent out 30 days prior to these dates so you can plan for your pantry needs. 

Annual Inventory Closure: Monday, September 28 - Thursday, October 1

In order to conduct our annual inventory, the Food Bank will be closed from Monday September 28 –  Thursday October 1. This means there will be no pick-ups, deliveries, or shop-for during this time. If your organization will be in need of a rescheduled pick-up during this closure, please reach out early to your relationship manager to see what may be possible. Reschedule spots will be limited and are available first-come, first-served.

  • Agency Express closes on Wednesday, September 23 at 9:00 a.m. Agency Express re-opens Tuesday, September 29 at 10:00 a.m., the regular ordering schedule will resume at that time.

Friday, October 9

The Food Bank will close at 1:00 p.m. on Friday October 9, 2020. This closure will not impact deliveries but will affect agencies that pick up later than 1:00pm. If you normally pick up after 1:00 p.m. on Friday, order extra food the week prior or contact your Relationship Manager to request a an alternate pick up date at the Food Bank. Please refer to the 2020 Holiday Guide for any upcoming closure dates for the Central Texas Food Bank.

Food and Product Recalls

Jersey Mikes Philly Style Beef Steak (Item Number: LS90260) is being recalled. Please check if your agency received any of this product and dispose of it immediately. Notify clients to discard only if it is off odor, color, open packaging or freezer burned. This recall is being made because the product has exceeded the 6 months past date grace period and no longer meets the Feeding America food safety guidelines. Mann Packing Co., Inc has issued a recall on products including HEB, Target Marketplace and Nourish Bowl branded packaged vegetables. Please dispose of any products listed at this website. This recall is issued out of an abundance of caution for Listeria monocytogenes
