The Food Bank provides proven programs that address hunger in our communities. We make it easy for you to provide these programs to your clients, which will help expand their grocery budgets, improve their nutrition and help them make better choices at mealtime.

  • Located within 21 county service area of Central Texas Food Bank
  • Serves people in need, children or the unwell

Programs Available for Partnership

Social Services Outreach provides skilled, fast, and effective application assistance and education for SNAP, TANF, Women’s Health Program, Medicare Savings Program, CHIP and Medicaid programs. Many of our neighbors report that the process is too complicated or they believe that they aren’t eligibile for help. That’s where you come in! You can be part of our formal referral network of teachers, employers, health care workers, faith leaders and other professionals in Central Texas who have direct contact with individuals and families experiencing barriers to enrollment. Senior Programs including the Healthy Options Program for the Elderly (HOPE) and the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) serve seniors 55+ and 60+, respectively, at distribution sites across Central Texas. Contact us to share your interest in providing food to seniors.

Kids Cafe®, a Feeding America program, provides free, nutritious meals to children and teens at community locations where children can congregate during after school hours. Our partner sites are located near schools where at least 50 percent of enrolled students are eligible to participate in federally-funded free or reduced-price meal programs. Kids Cafe® program partners may also participate in the BackPack Pilot Program which provides children participating in after school programs or Kids Cafe® with backpacks filled with nutritious food for them to eat over weekends. For more information, contact us.

Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a federal program that provides free, nutritious meals to children age 18 and under during the summer when school is out of session. Our partner sites are located near schools where at least 50 percent of enrolled students are eligible to participate in federally-funded free or reduced-price meal programs.
