Two years ago, Albina’s neighbor encouraged her to visit her local food pantry to find food assistance for her and her family. Now, with the support she gets from the Central Texas Food Bank, her family has access to nutritious meals and more room in their budget to cover utilities and medical expenses.
Last fiscal year, the Benefits + Emergency Services team submitted more than 1,600 SNAP applications, resulting in nearly 1.7 million meals provided to individuals in our service territory. Find out how the Food Bank provides benefits and emergency services to our neighbors in need.
Experiencing homelessness in Austin, Ryan and Travis work together to help support one another and their community to help meet their basic needs. They pick up food from the Central Texas Food Bank mobile pantry distribution near their camp to bring back and share with their friends.
