Free Meals for Kids and Teens! June 1 - August 7
When school is out, many children lose access to the free and reduced-price meals they rely on during the school year. Through the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and other community-based efforts, organizations like the Central Texas Food Bank help fill that gap. Free, nutritious meals are offered to kids and teens 18 and under at safe, accessible locations — no ID or registration required. These programs ensure that children have the nourishment they need to grow, learn, and thrive throughout the entire summer.
Meals To-Go | Rural Noncongregate (RNC) Distribution Sites
Rural Noncongregate meal sites provide free, nutritious meals to children in eligible rural communities during the summer months, when school is out and access to school-provided meals is unavailable. Unlike traditional summer meal sites that require children to eat onsite at set times, noncongregate sites offer flexible options — allowing parents or guardians to pick up meals and take them home for their children. This approach helps remove transportation, scheduling, and access barriers that often prevent rural families from participating in summer nutrition programs.
Who is eligible?
Children and teens ages 1-18 qualify for this program - no registration or proof of income is required!
Each child must be present at pickup, IF NOT, the parent/gaurdian must bring one of these documents:
