It won’t be the Grinch stealing Christmas this year, but contagious beats and infectious rhythms blasting all night long for the third annual DJs Who Stole Christmas Food Drive. Three years ago, it wasn’t enough having eight DJs on the lineup. Last year, 12 DJs participated, but now, 14 local DJs and seven hours of good music will take over Lux Lounge to raise food and monetary donations to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. A portion of the bar sales and all cash donations will be matched and donated to the non-profit by the Beaumont Foundation.
With no cover all night, DJ Ulovei kicks off the party at 7 p.m. Returning DJs include: Hella Yella, King Mike, Grip and JB. With more DJs participating each year, let’s make this year a successful one. Healthy, non-perishable food items will be accepted. You may also donate our most requested items: peanut butter, canned chicken breast or tuna, canned low-sodium vegetables, canned fruit in its own juice (no sugar added), dry pinto beans, brown rice, non-fat dry milk powder, 100 percent whole grain cereal.
Come out and support our local DJs. Dancing to help end hunger, it can’t get better than that.
