Dine Out to Help End Hunger in Central Texas

Austin, TX – August 25, 2022Austin Restaurant Weeks (ARW), presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Delta Air Lines, is back for 2022! From Thursday, September 1, through Sunday, September 11, participating Austin-area restaurants, bars and breweries will offer prix-fixe menus, specialty menu items and drink specials with a portion of sales donated to the Central Texas Food Bank. Since 2018, Austin Restaurant Weeks has raised enough to provide nearly two million meals for Central Texans in need. This year’s event features more than 80 participating establishments.

“Austin Restaurant Weeks is an exciting time for our city,” said Sari Vatske, president and CEO of the Central Texas Food Bank. “September is Hunger Action Month, so Austin Restaurant Weeks is an easy and fun way to take action and help end hunger while enjoying some of the best food and drink Austin has to offer. When you eat during Austin Restaurant Weeks, you’re helping others eat as well.”

Patrons can help the Central Texas Food Bank feed those in need by enjoying lunch, dinner, cocktail, beer and wine options at participating establishments. No one is directly solicited for donations and the proceeds help provide hundreds of thousands of meals to the one in seven Central Texans who face hunger on a regular basis.

“We’re so happy to lend our support to such a special event as Austin Restaurant Weeks,” said Lisa Nuccio, TX/OK Field Sales Manager at Tito’s Handmade Vodka. “ARW not only supports restaurants and bars in Central Texas, it helps the thousands of people in our communities who don’t know where their next meal is coming from. I can’t think of an event that better represents Tito’s ideals.”
