Our Culinary Training Program will resume on November 30, 2020. Due to COVID-19, our program has adopted a hybrid format consisting of virtual and in-person training. Class sizes will be limited to four people per cohort in order to follow the safety guidelines set by our organization. Central Texas Food Bank’s Culinary Training Program
Are you interested in a career in food services? If you have a passion for food and you are ready and willing to learn, the Culinary Training Program at the Central Texas Food Bank might just be the opportunity you are looking for.
Our program is a hybrid of in-person training and online lessons. Students attend in-person class 3 days a week, while completing our extensive online program through the Rouxbe Culinary Training Platform.
This hands-on job training program is designed to teach basic culinary skills, cooking techniques, knife skills, equipment operation and professional development. Our program provides students with real-world experience in our state-of-the-art kitchen, preparing our students for a career in the food service industry upon graduation.
The Culinary Training Program at the Central Texas Food Bank is free of cost and open to all members of the community (subject to eligibility requirements).
Application deadline for our upcoming class is February 26th, 2021.
