In this guided session, Hannah of Moore Soap will demonstrate the cold process soapmaking method using luffa gourds grown right here at our Austin facility. Participants will create their own personalized luffa soap bar using farm-dried botanicals and essential oils, while learning the fundamentals of soapmaking to continue the practice at home.
Following the workshop, Farm Manager Hannah Beall will lead a tour of the Fresh Harvest Farm, offering a closer look at how food and crops grown onsite support our programs and connect soil to community.
This workshop is an opportunity to learn a new skill, connect with the land, and experience the Food Bank in a new way.
