With the wealth of resources in the U.S. and recent economic boom in Central Texas, it might be difficult to imagine that people in this country, much less your neighbors, go hungry. But hunger affects people from all counties and continents—it’s here in Central Texas, in every state and across the world.
Join Feeding Texas and the Central Texas Food Bank for "Hunger is Here", a free, interactive exhibit that will challenge your conceptions about local hunger and food insecurity. At the exhibit, you’ll get to know some of the hard-working Texans from all walks of life who experience hunger and discover ways to make Central Texas more food secure for all.
The two-day exhibit runs from Saturday, April 21, through Sunday, April 22, at the Austin Central Library, Shoal Creek indoor amphitheater. All are welcome and encouraged to learn more about hunger in our community.
