This Halloween, Austin’s Park N Pizza wants to remind families to give a little more than tricks and treats during their Ghosts for Giving Canned Food Drive benefiting the Food Bank. Families are encouraged to drop off healthy non-perishable food items for families who need a little extra help, especially during the upcoming holiday season, at the entertainment center from October 25 to November 1.
The festivities continue at Austin’s Park N Pizza at their annual Trick-or-Treat Trail Halloween family-friendly event on Saturday, October 29 from 10 A.M to 12 P.M. Children can get their face painted, play pumpkin bowling, paint pumpkins and enjoy other fun Halloween activities. Children who wear a costume can enter the costume contest for a chance to win prizes. The event is free, but food donations are highly encouraged.
The Food Bank’s most requested items are:
- peanut butter
- canned chicken breast or tuna
- canned low sodium vegetables
- canned fruit in its own juice (no sugar added)
- dry pinto beans
- brown rice
- non-fat dry milk powder
- 100 percent whole grain cereal
