Twenty bands will rock the 10 mile course for Austin 10/20, where the beat of the drums and guitar power chords drive the steps of the racer. The event is a certified athletic competition, but whether a participant is the first or the last to finish, Alpha Rev will be waiting at the end for a post-race headline concert.
Ear buds are unecessary as racers make their way through the course, jamming out to the Sour Bridges, Animals for Hands, Tiarra Girls, Tiny Purple Fishes, Denny Herrin, Fulcrum Lake, Angel Cintron, The Fledglings, Demi the Dardevil, The Homewreckers, The Krawlers, The Clutch Kings, Max and The Waysiders, Bubba Coltrane and The Train Wrecks, UTLEY3, The Human Circuit, Kids from Nowhere, Plan Sonidero, and The Soulies.
The race kicks off on Sunday, April 9, at 8 a.m. at the Domain. Registration is $90. The Food Bank is honored to be the selected charity for the second year in a row. A portion of the proceeds will help feed families in need across Central Texas.
