Just as the name implies, the fourth annual Austin Bacon and Beer Festival really is just bacon and beer. It can’t get better than that. Presented by Edible Austin in partnership with Eat Boston, the event showcases bacon-centric food prepared by chefs from Austin and Central Texas paired with craft brews. This year, attendants can get a taste from 16 restaurants and 10 breweries, more than enough to satisfy that bacon and beer craving.
Besides just introducing participants to the delightful food combo, the event is once again helping to fight hunger in the community. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Food Bank. Last year, the event raised $6,229 for the Food Bank, creating 24,929 meals for families in need.
This year’s event will be at Brazos Hall on January 28, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Regular admission tickets are $46.50, plus a $4.61 fee. These tickets allow attendees to sample all the bacon and beer. The Defend Bacon tickets are $100, plus a $8.05 fee. These tickets allow attendees to get a head start on sampling with early entry, and include a festival shirt and commemorative tasting glass. Tickets are still available and can be purchased here.
