School’s Back in Session: Resources to Help Kids Access Nutritious Meals Year-Round

Aug11

As summer winds down and kids head back to school, many families breathe a sigh of relief knowing that school breakfasts and lunches are once again available. But for some, the struggle to put nutritious food on the table doesn’t end with the school bell. The Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB) offers a variety of programs to support children and families throughout the school year, ensuring no child goes hungry.

Afterschool Meals Program

Our Afterschool Meals Program provides free, nutritious meals to kids at safe, supervised locations such as schools, community centers, and afterschool programs. These meals keep kids energized for homework, sports, and activities.

School Pantry Program

Schools in Central Texas partner with CTFB to offer school pantries, giving families easy access to groceries right where their children learn. Stock up on fresh produce, pantry staples, and other nutritious food at no cost.
