Disaster Relief
In times of crisis, the Central Texas Food Bank stands as a trusted and reliable source of support for our community.
Whether facing hurricanes, floods, winter storms, public health, or economic emergencies, we mobilize quickly to ensure individuals and families affected by disasters have immediate access to food and essential supplies.
Through our network of partners and direct distribution programs, we work before, during, and after emergencies to provide critical food assistance and help communities recover.
Emergency Response
With a long history of responding to disasters, CTFB is always prepared to act when crisis strikes. Our team monitors conditions year-round and works in close coordination with state and local emergency response agencies to ensure food reaches the people who need it most.
How We Respond
Pre-Disaster Preparation – We store shelf-stable foods, bottled water, and other essential items in anticipation of crises.
Immediate Relief – When disaster strikes, we deploy emergency food distributions through our Mobile Pantries and partner agencies.
Ongoing Recovery Support – We remain on the ground long after the initial response, ensuring communities have sustained food access as they recover.
Where We Serve
CTFB provides disaster relief across our 21-county service area, ensuring that Central Texans impacted by emergencies can get the food and support they need.
We work with:
- Local and state emergency management agencies
- First responders and relief organizations
- Community groups and partner agencies
No matter the crisis, we are committed to helping families recover with dignity and support.
How you Can Help
Disasters can strike at any time, and our ability to respond quickly depends on the generosity of our community.
- Donate Funds: Monetary donations allow us to act immediately and provide the most needed supplies.
- Host a Virtual Food Drive: Help raise funds for disaster response with a Virtual Food Drive.
- Volunteer: When it's safe to do so, we call on volunteers to help distribute food to affected communities.
At CTFB, we stand with our neighbors before, during, and after disasters, ensuring that no one faces crisis alone. When disaster strikes, food is hope — and we are here to provide it.
