Thank You, Randalls, for Providing Turkeys to Families for the Holidays

Dec05

Without a turkey, Thanksgiving can be a painful memory for families struggling to make ends meet. For 15 years, Randalls has ensured that families have a memorable holiday season with family and friends. This year was no exception. As Turkey Man arrived at the Food Bank, it meant one thing: Randalls was making their annual turkey donation just in time for Thanksgiving.

Randalls arrived with a truckload of 1,000 turkeys that would be distributed to families across Central Texas, with 100 turkeys going to the Food Bank’s Partner Agencies, El Buen Samaritano and Hill Country Community Ministries in Leander, Texas.

For sisters, Kyrin, Kaylin and Geneva, this was their first Thanksgiving without their dad, who recently passed away from lung cancer. It has been difficult for the family and they wouldn’t have been able to afford a turkey this year.

After learning about El Buen Samaritano’s turkey distribution, the sisters travelled from Manor to Austin to get a turkey and everything else they would need to make a traditional holiday meal.

We can’t thank Randalls enough for helping provide Hope for the Holidays, year after year, to families who would not otherwise been able to share a holiday meal with their family.

“We couldn’t have done it without y’all this year, thank you for everything,” Kyrin said. “Thank you for spreading your love.”
