School Districts Provide Free Meals for Kids During COVID-19 Pandemic

With school districts closed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, families in need can still access grab and go meals from their district. Find more information below.

AISD

Currently offering free breakfast and lunch for children at 16 schools, Monday-Friday
Starting Monday, March 23:

  • Curbside meal sites will be open Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-2 pm.
  • 54 new community locations (meals delivered via school bus).

  • All meals are for pick-up to be taken home

Manor ISD

Starting Monday, March 23: free breakfast and lunch for children,

  • Distribution Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • Locations: Manor New Tech High School, Blake Manor Elementary and Decker Elementary.
  • All meals are for pick-up to be taken home. Children must be present to receive meals
     

San Marcos CISD

Starting Monday, March 23: free breakfast and lunch for children

  • Breakfast can picked up at Travis Elementary School and San Marcos High School from 8-9:30 a.m.
  • Lunch can be picked up at Travis Elementary School, San Marcos High School and Redwood Baptist Church from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
  •  All meals are for pick-up to be taken home. Children must be present to receive meals

Leander ISD

Starting Tuesday, March 24: free breakfast and lunch for children, Monday-Friday

  • Breakfast: 7:30–9 a.m.  
  • Lunch: 12–1:30 p.m.
  • Locations: Bagdad Elementary School, Reed Elementary School, River Place Elementary School, and Running Brushy Middle School
  • All meals are for pick-up to be taken home. Children must be present to receive meals

Wimberley ISD 

Starting Monday, March 23 at Jacob's Well Elementary:

  • Free breakfast and lunch for children
  • Breakfast: 8- 9:30 a.m.
  • Lunch from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • All meals are for pick-up to be taken home. Children must be present to receive meals
