Summer is over and kids are back in school. With one in four children at risk of hunger, we can’t thank our incredible community enough for helping us raise 1 million summer meals! Thanks to you, all children had to worry about this summer was having fun.
It wouldn’t have been possible without the generous matching gift challenge from the Gates and Stumberg Families and the Loewy Law Firm for inspiring our community to give and make a difference or without our Summer Meals that Matter sponsors - SolarWinds, Ryan Companies, Stars in Your Eyes Optometry and Optical and teleNetwork.
Thanks to the support from our neighbors and kitchen volunteers, we were able to distribute 108,000 nutritious meals and snacks, made fresh in our own kitchen, across 75 Summer Food Service Program meal sites. We also committed to distribute millions of pounds of food through Mobile Food Pantries, Healthy Options for the Elderly, Fresh Food for Families and Partner Agencies.
Thanks to our kindhearted community, kids received the nutrition they needed during the summer to ensure the start of great school year.
