Extending Care Across Texas: How Thomas J. Henry’s Renewed Support Helps Families Share Holiday Meals

Nov25

In uncertain times, community support is crucial. This holiday season, attorney Thomas J. Henry has renewed his commitment to increasing food access for Central Texas families with a $125,000 donation to the Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB). This is the second consecutive year his firm has made such a contribution, bringing their total support to $270,000 since their first gift in 2020. These contributions help thousands of families access nutritious food when they need it most.

This year's donation is part of the 2025 Feast of Texas, a significant effort launched by Thomas J. Henry to provide holiday meals to families facing food insecurity. What started as a focused charity initiative has expanded into a statewide campaign to close geographic gaps and improve local food access. By supporting food banks in both rural and urban areas, the Feast of Texas seeks to ensure that more Texans can gather, share meals, and enjoy the comfort of holiday traditions, especially during times when household budgets are tight.

Thomas J. Henry has a long history of serving Texans that goes beyond the courtroom. His work focuses on helping people during crises, and the Feast of Texas initiative shows that commitment to supporting families in their time of need. Providing neighbors with reliable access to food is one way his team invests in community stability throughout the state.

“Thomas J. Henry’s generosity helps us make tomorrow possible for the families we serve,” said Sari M. Vatske, President and CEO of the Central Texas Food Bank. “His partnership ensures that children and families throughout Central Texas can gather, share meals, and feel a sense of connection during the holidays.”

Closing Gaps and Strengthening Communities

Across Texas, many families are feeling the pressure of rising costs, delayed benefits, and lower household income. In rural areas, finding consistent food resources can be even harder. The Feast of Texas initiative helps fill these gaps by bringing meals, comfort, and community support to places where distance and limited access make meeting basic needs particularly tough.

In Central Texas, Henry’s renewed support fuels CTFB’s 21-county service area, allowing us to provide:

  • Fresh produce for holiday meals.

  • Healthy prepared meals for children.

  • Groceries for families struggling with economic stress.

  • Resources are distributed through partner pantries, rural programs, and mobile distributions.

Every box of produce, every grocery pickup, and every shared meal comes together through a network of neighbors, volunteers, staff, and partners who are committed to helping one another.

A Statewide Vision for Care

Henry’s Feast of Texas supports several food banks across the state, reflecting a broad approach to meeting large-scale needs. However, the impact unfolds one family, one meal, and one community at a time.

We are thankful for partners like Thomas J. Henry who help ensure every child and family has access to nutritious food that supports healthy bodies, minds, and futures.
