New flavors are coming to Teo Gelato just in time to help you cope with the hot summer days. The Austin-based and renowned gelato master, Matthew Lee, is teaming up with local influences to host a flavor creation contest benefiting local charities.
We’re honored to be food and travel blogger Jane Ko’s charity’s choice. We’re even more excited for the new flavor: Birthday Cake. The new creation will be available April 2 to May 14 at Cafe Teo. Whichever flavor has the highest pan sales (gelato is sold from pans, not tubs like ice cream) wins the flavor contest. That means the winner will have 10 percent of pan sales donated to the nonprofit of their choice.
In the end, all participating charities will come out winners with a $100 minimum donation to support their cause. Help fight hunger with a sweet birthday cake gelato treat!
