The rustic-looking Jacoby’s Restaurant & Mercantile is a gem off the Colorado River in East Austin with its artisan goods and special meat. For those concerned with where their meat comes from, they can eat heartily at Jacoby’s. Eating a burger there means eating meat from cattle that has only been grass fed and never given growth hormones or antibiotics. The family-owned business is sharing that meat with families in Central Texas who are struggling to make ends meet during their Burger for Burger Campaign. From Friday, July 1, through Sunday, July 31, for every burger sold at Jacoby’s Restaurant, they will donate the equal amount of meat to the Food Bank. Their hunger fighting effort applies to all of their burgers, including their specials and the $10 bar burger.
